On Friday March 12th, Assemblyman Jordan honored Mrs. Barbagelata’s Fifth Grade Class at Chango Elementary for participating in the Fall 2009 elections. The contest, run by the Saratoga County League of Women Voters challenges Fifth Grade teachers to encourage their students to accompany their parents to the polls on election day. Mrs. Barbagelata was the winner by motivating the highest percentage of her students to join their parents in casting their votes.
Assemblyman Jordan presented Certificates of Merit from the New York State Assembly to each of the 23 students as well as Mrs. Barbagelata herself. The Saratoga County League of Women Voters joined the Assemblyman in honoring Mrs. Barbagelata by presenting her with a plaque for her efforts and success.
