Assemblyman Tony Jordan (R,I,C-Jackson) recently received the endorsement of pro-business group Unshackle Upstate. The group lauded Jordan’s positive legislative record, which seeks to improve New York’s business climate for a more robust, job-creating economy.
“While New York is making progress, more needs to be done to stimulate private-sector job growth,” said Brian Sampson, Executive Director of Unshackle Upstate. “Assemblyman Jordan has demonstrated his understanding of the critical issues by voting against legislative bills that will impede our growth, while also sponsoring legislation that will ease the regulatory burden our businesses face. What we need now more than ever are more leaders in Albany like Assemblyman Jordan who will work with us to lower spending, lower taxes and get our economy moving once again. It is imperative that the voters in the district return him to Albany so that we can continue to make progress in New York.”
“I am happy to have the support of Unshackle Upstate,” said Jordan. “When I return to Albany in January, I will work with them to advance the most important agenda facing New Yorkers – improving our economy so that our state will have a more prosperous future, filled with jobs and opportunity for every resident. Lowering taxes and state spending, removing costly unfunded mandates and cutting the red tape that impedes small business growth will lead to lasting prosperity for our families and New York’s economy.”
Unshackle Upstate, a bi-partisan organization, represents over 80 business and trade organizations, consisting of more than 70,000 companies employing more than 1.5 million people.
